Robust Leasing Activity in the Michigan Industrial Real Estate Market 2023 - Ashley Capital CRE

Ashley Capital has extended four leases and signed one new lease across five of its Michigan properties.

Holman Parts has signed an extension at Brownstown Business Center North Building 1, a 905,000 square foot warehouse/distribution facility in Brownstown Township, Michigan. For over 60 years, Holman has been a leader in OE and aftermarket powertrain products. Holman, formerly RMP, is an all makes and models supplier of remanufactured gas and diesel engines, light medium and heavy-duty manual and automatic transmissions, heavy-duty differentials, transfer cases, and brand-new medium to heavy-duty starters and alternators. This facility warehouses and then ships these rebuilt engines to distributors nationwide. Other tenants at the 1.8MM square foot park include Butcher Engineering, Hollingsworth, Modular Automotive Systems, and Premier Trailer Leasing.

A Fortune 500 auto and commercial vehicle manufacturer (“Company”) has extended its lease at Brownstown Business Center South Building 9, a 740,000 square foot facility in Brownstown Township, Michigan. The Company uses the space to store numerous parts for its own dealership facilities. This location is a regional high-velocity center (HVC) distribution hub for auto parts. Other tenants in the 3MM square foot five building park include Amazon, Cargo Master Service Logistics, C-Mac Transportation, and Rolls Royce Solutions America Inc.

Scholastic has extended its lease at Crossroads Distribution Center South Building 2, a 535,000 square foot facility in Belleville, Michigan. Since Scholastic Corporation was founded in 1920, it has become the world’s largest publisher and distributor of children’s books. This facility warehouses and distributes materials for book fairs held at local schools. Other tenants in the 1.1MM square foot park include Tire Hub and Ford Motor Company.

A global market and technology leader has extended its lease at Orion Commerce Center Building 2, a 642,000 square foot facility in Orion Township, Michigan. This tenant will utilize the facility for warehousing and logistics services. Other tenants include Restoration Hardware, Inc, and Pella Windows & Doors.

Warren Business Center in Warren, Michigan is fully leased. A global company that produces high-quality products and systems for the automotive industry signed a new lease for 105,000 square feet at the 680,000 square foot facility.
