Ashley Capital’s Flint Commerce Center (FCC) has been recognized by CoStar with its 2024 Impact Award for Sale/Acquisition (Detroit) of the year. FCC brings much-needed development to the site of once-thriving Buick City, and revitalization to a Flint, Michigan community that has endured job losses, revenue decline, and other challenges.
FCC will span 3.5 million square feet of logistics and light manufacturing space across 10 buildings, and aims to create 3,000 permanent, full-time jobs. Building 1, a 330,000-square-foot facility, is scheduled for completion in the first quarter of 2024.
The industrial park will improve tax revenue, job creation, and the environment. Led by Susan Harvey of Ashley Capital and Bruce Rasher of Racer Trust, the transaction was also supported by a coalition of public, private, and philanthropic interests that actively contributed to making the project a reality.
