A valued tenant is expanding its operations at Ashley Capital’s Interchange Business Center (IBC), located in the Nashville, Tennessee metro area. Sinomax secured a deal for an additional 168,000 square feet of space, and will now occupy 444,000 square feet of the 791,000 square foot warehouse and distribution facility. The thriving facility also includes Penske Logistics, Amerifleet, and FSI.

Sinomax is a leading manufacturer of memory foam sleep products and sleep-related furniture and is also a recent Edison Award winner for sustainable comfort and environmental impact. They will be distributing mattresses for Ikea from IBC’s Nashville area location. The space will be primarily used for warehouse operations and light manufacturing, as well as offices housing their product development team, HR personnel, and shipping and receiving team.

Whirlpool originally constructed the building in 1973 and expanded it in 1978 and 1990. When Ashley acquired the property 24 years later, the building was functionally obsolete and only 16% occupied. After undertaking a complete overhaul of the building, Ashley was able to deliver a fully renovated facility to the market and attract a new generation of tenants.
