Ashley Capital purchased a six-story, 183,000-square-foot Oak Brook office property last week.
Located at 2001 York Road in the western suburbs of Chicago, the 26-year-old building is Ashley Capital’s first office acquisition in the area.
“We’re constantly looking for value-add opportunities in dynamic submarkets—places where thoughtful investment and strategic upgrades can unlock long-term potential,” said Ashley Capital Vice President Chris Rubacha. “2001 York Road delivers just that—a chance to re-energize a top-tier asset in one of Chicago’s strongest suburban office markets, and at a highly attractive basis.”
Ashley Capital will move its own local office into the building and plans to attract new tenants with “a series of capital improvements.”
Alissa Adler and John Homsher in the Colliers Chicago office represented Ashley Capital in negotiating the purchase.
